GCSE Astronomy Unsolicited Praise On behalf of the Chief Examiner, I am very pleased to inform you that A.H. was amongst the highest scoring in the summer 2005 examination. Out of 759, this candidate was amongst the top ten who achieved the highest overall marks in Astronomy and we would like to offer our congratulations on this excellent performance. Edexcel
Thank you very much for your continued support over the last two years. It has been really good fun and a great learning experience. My result was an A*!!! I am overjoyed at this result. My favourite lesson was probably the "starlight" lesson. I found it very interesting to know how distances are worked out to stars using parallax and spectroscopic parallax. Also how it can be used to determine even what is inside a star. This also helped me with my detailed observations in my coursework. It is great to learn something and then apply it where you need it. This is what made the coursework enjoyable for me, being able to work things out I couldn't before. I have received my coursework, thank you. Again, thank you so much! JT,
I got a grade A and would like to thank you for all your excellent help and support which made me achieve this. The course itself was wonderful and I have learnt a lot from it including doing practical work on my own. I hope that your courses carry on being popular, and that many more people can benefit from them as I have done. AK, Gloucestershire I managed to get an A grade which I am thrilled about. Thank you for all your helpful comments and speedy return of work, especially in the last minute rush. CW, Cardiff ……and thanks again for your extremely clear maths and other technical notes which really were very helpful. I don’t have much faith in passing this but it certainly won’t be from any lack of help on your part. ………… ……………My result came through this morning and I got a B. I am absolutely thrilled and can’t thank you enough for all your help and encouragement. SB, Kent ...this course is stimulating, motivating and enjoyable ….. I look forward to receiving your feedback on this assignment. May I also say a big thank you for your very kind comments in response to assignment two. I must say that the course material that has been provided is beginning to seriously fill in gaps and my understanding of issues is now vastly improving. DK, Cumbria
I’d like to thank you for all your help, I really enjoyed the course. PS, West Midlands
Thank you very much for all your help and advice throughout the course, it was well organised and well managed, a credit to you. I did not expect to do so well. CB, Nottinghamshire
Thank you for the feedback you have given me for each of the assignments. It has been a really interesting course and I certainly feel that the course has given me a much better understanding of our solar system and the cosmos. FW, London
This has been a very enjoyable course, thank you for making it so. JS, London
I’ve got to say again that I really love this course. I knew there were gaps in my education of astronomy, but now I know they were not gaps, they were gorges! JW, Cheshire
Thank you for your excellent comments about my last assignment, keep them coming. JR, Cheshire
