The Nature Of The Planets This
is a fun course about the solar system. It is packed with things to do on
cloudy nights. This
course is all about doing astronomy, rather than just reading about it. And
you can do the whole course from your armchair! There
are ten lessons and each one contains approximately twenty pages of:
The
exercises may involve: measuring, cutting out, drawing diagrams, doing
simple sums and making models. You will learn a lot from making the simple
cardboard models and you will find them useful, time and time again. Some of the exercises mimic the historical work which led to
major discoveries about the solar system.
These exercises enable you to make those same discoveries. You
will need to work through each lesson from the beginning, completing
each exercise as you come to it, and writing your answers in the
appropriate spaces in the lesson notes. Included
with each lesson is an Answer Sheet. When you have completed all the exercises in this lesson,
transfer your answers to the
Answer Sheet at the end of the lesson, and return the Answer Sheet to your
tutor for
assessment. Your answers will be assessed and returned to you with your
next lesson. On
